Our customer in the forest industry is looking for a data and AI minded hands-on consultant for their strategic data driven supply chain and operations automation project.

This project aims to evaluate and enhance workflow efficiency across the customers business division Supply Chain and Operations by leveraging data driven insights and automation. The focus is on identifying optimization opportunities, assessing tool readiness, and understanding the openness of employees to new ways of working.

Through a structured evaluation, we will:

Analyse current processes to uncover automatization potential
Assess employee perspectives on automated workflows
Evaluate existing tools and their ability to support data driven decision making
By taking a balanced and data driven approach, the project ensures that automatization is aligned with business needs, enhances efficiency and supports employees in adapting to new technologies.

The goal is to utilize data for decision making and increasing efficiency through workflow automation. The project tasks and phases includes:

Workflow analysis:
- In depth workflow analysis in a customer production plant as a first case, leading to use-cases were e.g. machine learning or AI tools can improve ways of working. First efficiency improvements should be realized, incl. AI based forecast/planning.
Workflow optimization roadmap:
- Roadmap will be created to automize and optimize workflows using machine learning and AI further. Use-cases can include e.g., machine learning based master data check and cleaning or automating production scheduling.
Workflow optimization roadmap execution:
- Execute the previously defined workflow optimization roadmap, incl. the development of better environments. This would include linking data to strategy, including different simulations of scenarios.

Requirements:

Proven experience in data analytics, AI, and automation within supply chain and operations.
Hands-on experience with machine learning applications in industrial or production environments.
Strong data-driven mindset with expertise in process optimization and efficiency improvements.
Familiarity with workflow automation tools, predictive analytics, and strategic data utilization.
Ability to analyze and improve end-to-end workflows in a structured manner.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies.
Knowledge of supply chain processes, production scheduling, and AI-driven forecasting (nice-to-have)
