next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced SAP Software Asset Management specialist to oversee SAP license management, compliance, and optimization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP licensing principles, audit processes, and software asset management (SAM), with experience working in global environments.

SAP License Management & Compliance

• Manage license consumption metering for SAP products, including software, consumption-based licenses, and services.

• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with SAP licensing terms and rectify potential compliance gaps.

• Analyze license usage data to identify underutilized licenses, optimize license allocation, and provide strategic recommendations.

Contract & Documentation Management

• Maintain a centralized repository of SAP license contracts, agreements, purchase orders (POs), and invoices.

• Ensure all documentation is up to date, properly classified, and easily accessible.

• Engage with SAP vendors as needed for contract negotiations and clarifications.

Software Procurement & Budgeting

• Support software procurement to ensure alignment with company policies and cost-effectiveness.

• Contribute to budget preparation and monitoring for software products and licenses.

Audit & Reporting

• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and compliance reports.

• Run internal SAP licensing portfolio reports, ensuring transparency in license consumption and optimization.

• Advise project, program, infrastructure, and application portfolio managers on software licensing and compliance best practices.

?? Proven experience in SAP Software Asset Management (license management, administration, and compliance).
?? Strong knowledge of SAP licensing principles, contractual terms, and audit processes.
?? Experience in SAP audit processes, including hands-on involvement in license compliance and remediation.
?? Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro (preferred but not mandatory).
?? Proficiency in analyzing multi-source data for software usage optimization.
?? Experience working in global environments with cross-cultural awareness.
?? Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
?? Technical background in SAP environments (an asset but not mandatory).
?? Fluent in English (mandatory).

Proven professional history within license management and administration, software licensing, Software Asset Management for the SAP software products and services
Proven track of SAP licensing principles and contractual aspects expertise
Proven track of SAP audit process knowledge, including hands-on experience
Experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro is an asset
Experience from working in a global context, cross cultural awareness and skills
Excellent communication & presentation skills
Clear sense of end-to-end ownership
Comfort with multi-source data analysis
Technical background is an asset
Complete proficiency in English is a requirement

Responsibilities:
Manage license consumption metering processes for products in scope (licenses, software, consumption based, etc.). Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with SAP licensing terms and conditions. Identify any potential compliance gaps or risks. Take necessary actions to rectify them
Analyze license usage data to identify opportunities for optimization. Identify underutilized licenses, explore license reassignment options, and make recommendations for optimizing license allocation and usage
Maintain a centralized repository of SAP license contracts, agreements, POs, invoice files. Ensure that all documents are up to date, properly described, and easily accessible for reference, engage with SAP vendor if needed
Support software procurement and secure it is performed in line with company policies
Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the consolidated budget for software products and licenses
Support external audits when they occur
Advise relevant project, program, infrastructure and application portfolio managers on software licensing and compliance, recommended actions that will optimize the software portfolio
Run internal SAP licensing portfolio reporting; provide reports on license compliance
