Senior Cobol Developer – Exciting Opportunity in a Dynamic Environment

We are looking for a Senior Cobol Developer to join an assignment focused on the development and maintenance of critical systems within the life and pension sector. This role offers the opportunity to work in an agile environment, collaborating closely with business teams to drive innovation and efficiency in system solutions.

As a Cobol Developer, you will be responsible for new development, system maintenance, and lifecycle management. In addition to coding, you will play a key role in analysis, development, and design, contributing to the enhancement of a robust mainframe-based platform. You will work closely with various stakeholders, ensuring technical solutions align with business needs.

Key Requirements:

• 4–12 years of experience in Cobol development

• Proficiency in Cobol 6.3 and IBM/zOS

• Strong knowledge of DB2 and JCL

• Experience with CICS is a plus

• Familiarity with Jira, Lumera, ISPW, and Topaz is beneficial

• Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions

• Experience leading teams or guiding junior developers is advantageous

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: As soon as possible

• Location: Hybrid, Stockholm (approx. 3 days per week on-site)

• Workload: 100%
