System Engineer Elastic Search

We are looking for a System Technician with expertise in Elastic Search to join Swedish Customs' IT department in Luleå.

Swedish Customs is a government agency responsible for overseeing the flow of goods in and out of Sweden, ensuring secure and fair trade. With a history dating back to 1636, the organization plays a crucial role in simplifying legal trade while preventing illegal activities. Swedish Customs employs approximately 2,400 professionals and has its IT department based in Luleå, consisting of around 250 employees and 100 consultants.

About the Role

As a System Technician – Elastic, you will be part of the IT operations and infrastructure team, contributing your expertise in Elastic Search to strengthen the existing technical environment. You will work closely with the team on key tasks, including:

1. Implementing system logs in Elastic
2. Troubleshooting and optimizing Elastic Search operations
3. Implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) in Elastic
4. Providing technical expertise and support for various development activities

This role requires on-site presence in Luleå at least once per week, with some weeks requiring additional days at the office based on project needs. The rest of the work can be done remotely.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

1. At least 4 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of Elastic Search
2. At least 4 years of experience working with Linux
3. Strong ability to work independently and take responsibility for your area
4. Experience leading small teams or handling sub-projects

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with JBoss application server
